Thames Tide (Thumper)

2004 filly by Musical River out of Teyegris

Thames Tide (a.k.a, Thumper) arrived on May 22, 2004 at 1:30AM. A big healthy bay filly with a gorgeous white star and a white coronet on the left hind. Thames Tide, a.k.a., ThumperJewel-B-Lee Farm's first foal out of Teyegris, a Trakehner, by Musical River, a Thoroughbred.

It still amazes us how personalities develop so quickly in foals. It's already obvious that this is going to be a sweet, personable filly. She's curious about everything and those legs...so long! We've noticed since she's been going out that she loves mud and water. She stands in it, runs through it, and tries to jump it. Perhaps eventing is in her future, her sire, Musical River, evented through preliminary level, so it makes sense. She has the most beautiful face with that large star along with the expressions on her face. What a sweetie!

Thumper has been such a joy and is turning into a beautiful young lady. She will soon be 3 years old and is already 16.1 hands. She had pastern fusion surgery on her left hind in October 2004 due to a pasture incident. The prognosis is good and if the past year is any indication she will go on to be a competitive horse. She absolutely floats across the ground. She will continue her round pen training in the next few weeks and the plan is to have her under saddle by the end of summer 2007.
